Bungee Fitness Nottingham, UK Top workout studios near you

Bungee fitness is an exhilarating workout that combines cardio, strength training, and acrobatics, all while being suspended from the ceiling with a bungee cord. This innovative form of exercise offers a low-impact, high-intensity experience that is both fun and effective. Participants can enjoy the sensation of flying while engaging in a full-body workout that improves balance, coordination, and core strength.

In Nottingham, UK, bungee fitness has gained popularity, with several studios offering classes to cater to the growing interest. Below is a list of bungee fitness studios located in Nottingham, providing details on their offerings, instructors, pricing, schedules, and contact information.

1. BungeeFit Nottingham

Location: Unit 1a, The Eagle Works Building, Hooton Street, Nottingham, NG3 2NJ

Description: BungeeFit Nottingham is the UK’s first and original BungeeFit arena, offering a unique workout experience that combines aerial movement with fitness. The studio provides a range of classes suitable for all fitness levels, focusing on fun and effective workouts.

Bounce, fly & defy gravity whilst attached to a state of the art bungee rig. The elastic nature of the bungee means that there is very little impact through the joints, making it an ideal exercise if you have joint problems, sciatica, arthritis, or are recovering from injury.

Does BungeeFit hurt?

Like all Aerial Arts, there is an element of discomfort involved in BungeeFit. However, we have tried to minimise this as much as possible by providing you with top of the range, custom-made harnesses. Unlike some schools that use cheaper climbing harnesses, our equipment is specifically designed for BungeeFit and thus provides support and padding in all the right places. We also highly recommend that you bring a good quality pair of cycling shorts with you, to provide extra padding for the groin area. We do have cycling shorts you can borrow, as part of the equipment setup, but most people prefer to bring their own.

What should I wear?

We recommend you wear leggings, with cycling shorts over the top (superhero style!). This is not a fashion statement, but it will provide the greatest comfort from your nether regions. You can wear jogging bottoms, but you may get quite hot, especially in the summer months, as BungeeFit incorporates a cardio element as well as a toning one. We recommend you bring your own cycling shorts, but do have some at the studio that you can borrow. These are washed weekly and in the interests of hygiene, we ask that you wear them over the top of your clothing. Some people find that borrowing shorts is a good plan for their first session, to try out the sport, and then when they realise how awesome BungeeFit is, invest in their own pair for future classes.

Am I too unfit?

No! The introductory BungeeFit classes are designed to accommodate all levels of fitness and ability. We are an inclusive fitness community, encouraging everyone to work to their own level and all moves can be adapted to suit.

Are there age limits?

No, bungefitness classes are open to all.

Am I too overweight?

No, we have bungees to fit a wide range of weights. However, to insure your safety, all participants must provide an accurate weight during booking. There will also be a discrete set of scales available in the studio for you to use if necessary. Your weight will not be shared with anyone else, but will be used to insure your bungee is tailored for you.

Are there any prerequisites?

No, you do not need to have any bungee or aerial experience prior to trying BungeeFit. Our classes are designed to cater for all! After getting acquainted with the beginners BungeeFit classes (we recommend 6 weeks to three months), we do have Improvers sessions that are more intense. We also have Acro BungeeFit® which involves having two bungees attached to your harness and allows you to learn to do more aerial based moves such as somersaults. To take part in Acro BungeeFit we do require you to have some experience in the beginner’s classes already, to acquire a base knowledge of how to control the bungees. Previous gymnastic/aerial experience will be helpful but not mandatory.

Really enjoyed my first class at PoleKat, Maddy took in everyone’s needs in the class and was encouraging. I got a move I’ve been struggling to crack and my abs have definitely had a workout, can’t wait to come back and get even stronger

Julie is a great mentor and teacher. I really enjoy her classes because she challenges me to be the best I can be but is also totally approachable and fun! She has great taste in music and I love all her outfits and shoes 🤩

Julie’s Heels class is fantastic. When I started I felt like I would never pick it up, but by sticking to it and attending most weeks, as well as doing pole classes, I’m able to improve all the time, getting better at keeping up and starting to make it look good. For anyone looking to join the class, if you’re pretty new to pole, I’d say do this class, do one or 2 pole classes a week and Wednesday 6pm is currently heels tricks, which is a great class for mastering the skills we do in heels. Thanks Julie, you know I love your classes.
